Port of Tampa is Holding a Shipment of Chinese Drywall June 10, 2009
The Port of Tampa is holding a shipment of Chinese drywall. Thousands of pieces of Chinese drywall is being stored in a warehouse, Ports America, at the Port of Tampa.
Only a few people knew it was being stored there, and now that the word is out. Ports America is not allowing anyone to enter the building to investigate the drywall.
After Senator Bill Nelson found out about the shipment of drywall that is being held at the port, he has asked federal investigators to step in. They are now interested in getting into the warehouse to see if it is the same defective drywall that was being used in homes that are now making homeowners and residents sick.
